Willow's been asked by the local fishermen to look into the dead and mutated lobsters in the area since she is a lawyer for the state attorney general who specializes in environmental issues. That's when the trouble starts. Her house and office are broken into. Her car is run off the road and staged to look like a drunk driving accident. And half a million dollars ends up in an offshore account with her name on it. On top of all of that she is dealing with a man who says he loves her and has started a betting pool in town on when they'll get married.
I enjoy Janet Chapman's books. Even though they are very outdated in their views of relationships and gender roles, she is a good writer that tells interesting stories.
