Fairest, vol 1: Wide Awake, by Bill Willingham, 160 pages
My favorite graphic novel series by far is Fables- featuring a community of fairy tale characters living in modern-day New York.  Fairest is supposed to be a spin-off, featuring the women of Fables and their side stories.  This first volume concerns Briar Rose, who is awoken from her sleep by the kiss of Ali Baba (he's a prince- of thieves), and the ensuing love triangle with the Snow Queen, Lumi, who has also been awoken.  For other fans of Fables, this might be worth taking a look at, but it was rather disappointing as far as a storyline goes.
