"A Simple Murder" by Eleanor Kuhns - 322 pages
This book set in the 1790's and is about a man named Rees who left his son in the care of his sister and brother-in-law while he traveled for his work. After returning to his home, Rees finds his son David, has left to join the Shakers in their settlement. He follows and soon finds a murder mystery that he is asked to solve. Along the way he finds other murders that all tie in with the one he is working on. Follow Rees as he solves the murders and rebuilds his relationship with his son.
