This book is a novel written in stories. I really enjoyed this book. It was real and written with heart felt emotion. I liked how all the stories were tied to the main story. The book follows Phillip and Greta Parris through his infidelity and their divorce. When Phillip cheats on Greta with Theresa, their daughter Charlotte's piano teacher, it turns both their worlds upside down. The other stories involve the old neighbor Betty who befriends Charlotte and her life and relationship with her own daughter. It follows how Phillip and Greta had struggled with infertility and what to do with their frozen embryos when they divorce.
