The Stand by Stephen King - 1153 pgs.
I recently read "The Stand," Stephen King's epic novel about a new disease that is lethal to 95% of the world's population and the rebuilding of society by the survivors. The book is by no means new, and it definitely will take more than a few days to read, but overall it was a good read. However, as with many of King's books, his attention to detail makes the book a chore to read at times, but that shouldn't dissuade anyone who is a fan of Stephen King or epidemic diseases.
Personally, I consider myself a HUGE fan of epidemic diseases. ;)
