Leo Hunt, the Mad Monk of Monkcrest, is amazed when a woman, Beatrice Poole, appears at his estate late one night demanding to speak to him. He is even more astounded when he discovers she is there to ask about some legendary rings. She believes her uncle was murdered because of the rings. Leo is intrigued and decides to alleviate the boredom he has been feeling lately by helping her investigate the murder and try to find the rings.
I am continuing to read my way through Amanda Quick's historical romances. This was one of her better ones. It was an enjoyable romantic mystery.
