Marcus is surprised to hear that his former mistress, Mrs. Bright, has become the darling of the ton in London -- especially as he has never met Iphiginia Bright before. When confronted, Iphiginia admits that she set herself up as his mistress thinking he had been killed by a blackmailer and that she is trying to determine who is blackmailing her aunt. Even more surprising, Marcus agrees to go along with her scheme.
This was a truly fun historical romance. I really enjoyed the story and the characters.
