Mastiff by Tamora Pierce - 592 p.

In the third and final book in the Bekah Cooper series, Pierce's heroine keeps making a name for herself on the streets of Corus in Tortall.
5 years have past since we were last with Beka in Bloodhound. A lot has happened in her personal life, and Bekah isn't in the best place emotionally. She needs a hunt. And a hunt is what she gets.
When she is brought in under a veil of secrecy to the castle, it's revealed that the King and Queen's own son, the 4-year-old heir to the throne, has been kidnapped. Bekah, Achoo, Tunstall, and Sabine, with the help of newcomer Mage Farmer are on the greatest hunt of their lives. Trekking through the most god-forsaken places in all of Tortall, scent-hound Achoo leads the cavalry high and low on the scent of the little Prince. Along the way, Bekah finds friends, love, but also betrayal.
Great closing book to a wonderful fantasy trilogy. Bekah is a very empowered character and will be missed.
