Jack of Fables 3: The Bad Prince, by Bill Willingham

Jack of Fables 3: The Bad Prince, by Bill Willingham, 126 pages

Ever since the last volume, where Jack relates how he’s impervious to the cold due to having once been Jack Frost (oh, it involved impregnating the Snow Queen, tricking her into letting him hold onto her powers, and general acts of being a jerk), I’ve had a hard time liking these books.  Yes, Jack is a scallywag, but he could at least be charming about it.  At least in this volume, Jack gets run through with a sword and we find out that he’s not an original.  If only it lasted longer…

On the up side, though, Babe the Blue Ox is awesome.  His elaborate daydreams with weird characters are the highlight of this volume.
