Sheriff Brooks Gleason is intrigued by the mysterious, reclusive Abigail Lowery. She talks to no one, carries a gun, and has an extensive security system at her house. He knows she is scared of something. What he doesn't know is that she is on the run from the Russian mafia who is trying to kill her for witnessing a series of murders.
This was another good romantic suspense novel from Nora Roberts. It was very readable and a book I didn't want to put down until I completely finished reading it.
