This is book 3 in the Chronicles of Nick which is marketed as a Teen series. Nick faces all the normal teenage drama of school bullies, keeping his girlfriend hidden from his mom, and trying to learn to drive. But Nick also faces a terrible dark fate and has to fight attempts on his life from his own family as he struggles to balance the light and the darkness within. Fans of Kenyon's adult Dark Hunters books will enjoy seeing Acheron and the others through Nick's eyes and getting another perspective on events detailed in the Dark Hunters series. Teens who liked the Vladimir Tod books will find another kindred spirit in Nick Gautier.
