How Angel Peterson Got His Name (and other outrageous tales about extreme sports) by Gary Paulsen - 111 pages
This is a fictionalized collection of memories by Gary Paulsen of growing up in northern Minnesota and the stupid stunts he and his friends would try to pull off. There was the time they tried to break the land speed record on skies. Or the time they tried to fly a giant army kite. Or the time one of them tried to wrestle a bear. And many more hilarious tales.
This was recommended by another children's librarian as an exceptionally funny book to read. I picked it up as an audio to listen to in the car. They were right. It is a very funny group of stories narrated perfectly on the audio.
