Liesl & Po by Lauren Oliver

Liesl & Po by Lauren Oliver - 307 pages

Liesl is a little girl kept locked in the attic by her stepmother.  Po is a ghost that has wandered over from the Other Side, drawn by Liesl's drawings.  Will is the alchemist's apprentice who has just lost his master's most powerful spell ever.  When all three of them come together, they embark on an amazing journey filled with terror, sadness and hope.
This book sounded really interesting to me.  I picked it out of the new books as soon as I saw it.  However, I did not think it lived up to its premise.  I just never really got into the story and had to force myself to finish reading it.  I didn't dislike it - but I didn't like it either.
