Legend, by Marie Lu

Legend, by Marie Lu, 305 pages

In the same vein as The Hunger Games and Divergent, Legend is the first in what will probably be a series about talented teens and a corrupt government in a dystopian America.

June is a military prodigy from an elite family, living comfortably in the Republic (the former western United States); Day is a wanted fugitive, from the slums of the Republic.  From different backgrounds, they find out they have more in common than they think when June's beloved brother is murdered and Day is the number one suspect.  This book is a thriller full of adventure and romance, and really leaves you clamoring for the next in the series.
