The Black Book of Secrets by F.E. Higgins - 273 pages
Ludlow arrives in the tiny mountainside town of Pagus Parvus at the same time as the mysterious Joe Zabbidou. He can't believe his good luck when Joe takes him on as an apprentice pawnbroker. But the truly amazing thing is that Joe isn't just a regular pawnbroker, he's also a pawnbroker of secrets.
This was a pretty interesting premise with unusual characters. I truly enjoyed this book. A great story of older children and teens.
