The unnamed narrator has been sent to his uncle's house for two weeks after his dad dies. His uncle devises a list of tasks for him to complete:
Day 1 - Choose a Mission
Day 5 - Read a book under a tree
Day 7 - Go on seven job interviews
Day 9 - Eat a meal with a stranger
Day 12 - Complete your mission
He finds as he goes through the list, that none of the tasks end up as he thought they would - including his mission to meet the Beautiful, Unattainable Girl.
I thought this was a great book. I really enjoyed it. I picked it up as it is the first teen book by a picture book author that I truly love. I wasn't sure he would translate to full-length novels, but it was great.
