House of Many Ways by Diana Wynne Jones - 404 pgs
This is the third book in the loosely-connected Howl's Moving Castle trilogy. Charmain is sent to look after her great-uncle's house while he is ill. It should have been easy - nothing to do but read all day. But then she meets a lubbock that wants to rule the country, Peter comes to stay at the house, and she is enlisted to help with the king's library. Things only get more interesting when Sophie Pendragon and her household show up at the castle. This was a great addition to Howl's story.
