The author breaks down the simplest indoor gardening techniques. He covers basic questions everyone new to houseplants wonders such as "what exactly is bright-indirect light?" "How low of light is low light?" "Is there a proper way to water my plants?" It is basically a "House Plants for Dummies," but even more reader friendly and with beautiful pictures.
I would recommend to anyone who is interested in houseplants but doesn't know where to start or to anyone who is a self proclaimed "brown thumb."
