Joey Montague is a detective with the agency Private Johannesburg. When his partner mysteriously turns up dead from an apparant suicide, Joey takes on the job of protecting American Isobel Collins. Can Joey find out who is after Isobel and why before it is too late? Private Gold is part of the other Private series by James Patterson, but is about half the length.
