Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella

Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella-286 pages

I wanted to read this because I saw it on a list of top teen romance novels and it sounded interesting. It isn't solely about romance, but romance is a part of it and it helps Audrey get over her depression. Set in England, the story is about Audrey Turner (and her family). Audrey was previously bullied by two girls at her school and subsequently the two girls were expelled and Audrey left this school, although the reader never learns exactly what happened to trigger these events. As a consequence of these events, Audrey becomes clinically depressed and leaves school altogether for the summer (I think they go to school year-round in England with longer holiday breaks). As a part of her therapy, Dr. Sarah, Audrey's therapist/psychiatrist, suggests that she do a documentary film of her family. Audrey and Linus (Frank's friend and LOC partner) end up falling in love. Overall, it was a pretty good read and, as I have said before, I enjoy reading teen fiction.
