The Wars of the Roses by Dan Jones

The Wars of the Roses by Dan Jones  -398 pages

The author's follow-up history of The Plantagenets illuminates the harsh tragedy of the descendants of Edward III. Two of his sons held the titles of York and Lancaster, that became the dividing lines in a multi-generational civil war. The book is full of disastrous reversals of fortune, untimely deaths, and tremendous betrayals. It is more interesting than fiction since it is all true. The author includes maps and family tree charts to help the reader along.
