Life Could Be Verse is a collection of poems that were written by Kirk Douglas during milestone events in his life. It is hard to believe he is 98 years old. The book starts out with his childhood, into his early acting career, and into the meeting of the love of his life and current wife. Not only is his life story accompanied by the poems he wrote, but there are wonderful pictures of his family and his career through the years. This was probably the shortest biography I have ever read, but also, the most touching.
