Bailey is upset when his scout brother and sister are packing up to go camping and telling him about all the fun things they are going to do. When Bailey is feeling down about the fun he will miss his mom tells him he can do all those things at home too. The ensuing pages show a rabbit swimming and fishing in a tub, cooking marshmallows over a stove and falling asleep under the stars next to his bedroom window.

Not your typical color book, but a great addition no less. Little bear keeps asking mama about the wolrd aroud him and as she identifies them readers are opening to a page of color and that particular subject.

Snoring Beauty by Sudipta Quallen 24
Mouse does not know what to do as he tries to get to sleep but cannot beacase of the snoring princess! When the prince arrives there is hope that he will awaken her but it seems as though he is about to give up, Mouse resolves to kissing her himself…awakening her from the sleep to meet her prince. Mouse and Princess end up with a double wedding the next day but Mouse now has a wife with a snoring problem. This story was ok the illustrations were weird..not a favorite.

I love this series that talks to kids about their different emotions and how to deal with them. This title was perfect because my little boy had a melt down  in the car over ice cream…so while we were reding this book we addressed what happened and how we could have better handled our emaotions.

Love love love this book! What do chickens do when they are sick of chicken feed? They make salsa and all the other aniamals eventually realize that they are missing out and join in on the fiesta! But the chickens are in for a surprise when they run out of ingriedints due to the farmer and his wife having their very own fiesta too.

With an emergencey call the fire truck in lego city is out to the rescue. They even take the time to help stranded kitties in burning building.

The Bill Cooper is known to many as a conspiracy theorist, with the former president Clinton referring to him as the most dangerous man on the radio (when he was alive) This book chronicles his time working for the government with top level clearance and he informs readers about the government and there agenda and some of the things that they don’t want the American people to know about. Bill Cooper has since passed on and the circumstances to his death are still questioned by some. This book is available in PDF format for free online to all readers. It was his wish that his book and information would always be available to all for free.

Huff and Puff meet a new train who wants to race, and while they are slow they will still try their best. This story is basically the train edition of the tortoise and the hare with huff and puff coming out on top.

The Ig family…..learning to read ugghhhhhhh!!!!! The only thing these easy readers have going for them are the bright pictures, and I do like the very last page where kids can play I Spy to try and find one of the words that was emphasized in the text.

Another Easy reader focusing on the Op family….wach page features a cut out so new readers can anticpate the next word to sound very close to the last page.
