Where do children go at night? They are off to the night parade with costumes, candy and music but they always return to their rooms for sleep before the sun comes up. This is my new favorite for bed time books and….there are a lot out there!

This is a cute rhyming tale about bedtime my only problem with it is that it gets kids more wound up then wound down. The text asks them to beep their nose, clap their hands and the closing pages are tickles and kisses…Not conducive to sleep.

All ends well and there is definite resolution and there is even promise for another book to be forthcoming with series.

This book was a huge disappointment from the story to the ullustrations, I had high hope for this book because all kids love a books with underpants…they think the word is so funny! The colors in this pictures are muted and the story gets long winded! Frog is searching through the jungle trying to find his underwear only to find a bunch of other small frogs that had them and stole his idea too.

I love this book! It reminds not only kids but adults too that it is okay to make mistakes. The text is simple and the little lessons tucked within remind readers of the all the good things  that can come from mistakes also.

A little girl is tucked into bed with her stuffed animals and the ensuing pages are filled with large print and circus girl on stage with all of her amazing stunts.  Closing pages remind readers that it must all be a dream as they see a little girl tucked into bed sleeping.

I think this was the final book in the series…glad to see it end but now I am wondering if it shw will continue it in some form. The story is told through alternating viewpoints of Josie and Dean. Dean is struggling with a pregnant Astrid trying to get her to safety when the government will not taker away her and the baby. Josie is confinced to a camp in Mizzou where they type O population is being held. Niko sets out to find and set free Josie.  Without any real spoilers to those reading the series…lets just say everyone ends up at Niko’s Uncle’s farm along with a few other welcome surprises!

Loved this book proably because I loved Anne Frank’s story so much as I was growing up. I love reading about world war II and I loved Liesels passion for books and words, and the correlation that she makes about how words can do so much so much good and so much harm. The characters were brought to life with the authors detailed writing and emotion…just a great read and glad I read it.

While I like this book I kept holding out for an ending that I was never going to get…I guess all books cannot have happy endings
